We’re proud to share that Dade Prep Academy has been awarded Cognia accreditation — an endorsement from one of the world’s leading non-profit education organizations, with a network of more than 36,000 institutions across 90 countries.
What Cognia accreditation actually means
Accreditation is the educational equivalent of a medical board certification or bar admission for lawyers: it’s an outside body confirming that an institution meets a rigorous, well-defined set of standards. For schools, those standards cover learning conditions, curriculum, leadership, policies, staff qualifications, and continuous improvement.
For families choosing a school, it’s a trustworthy signal that the school is held to the same expectations as accredited schools nationwide.
How Dade Prep earned it
Cognia’s process unfolds in three phases over roughly six years:
- Self-assessment with school leadership to identify strengths and improvement opportunities.
- External review by an assigned Cognia evaluator, who measures the school against Cognia’s performance standards and produces a formal Engagement Review Report.
- Ongoing monitoring — periodic visits and re-evaluation to ensure standards are maintained and improvement continues.
This isn’t a one-time achievement — it’s a commitment to ongoing evaluation and growth.
What it means for our families
Concretely:
- A diploma from Dade Prep carries the weight of an accredited institution.
- Credit transfers and college applications are smoother.
- The school is held to continuous improvement standards by an outside body, not just by ourselves.
