Our History
Dade Prep Academy is a private school for grades 6-12. Students can earn their high school diploma while pursuing postsecondary education and vocational training. Our curriculum meets the Florida Department of Education requirements, and our low teacher-to-student ratio helps us address student needs. Our main goal is to ensure each student receives a personalized education. Dade Prep Academy teaches students self-respect, accountability, and motivation. Our program affiliations include four-year institutions, community colleges, vocational training, and the US Military.

We believe in balance, strong values, and providing an educational experience you can trust. Our model is based on a systematic approach to providing quality education and community development opportunity. This cohesive and comprehensive approach integrates the current and future needs of our developing communities. It is the total immersion of the student in their environment, utilizing best practices of the educational process, and connecting real-world exploration, that prepares students with critical thinking, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial skills necessary for the challenges in adult life.
As a result, Dade Prep will achieve the following:

Our Community
Dade Prep Academy (DPA) in Cutler Bay, Florida, is a private school for 14 to 22-year-olds. Students can get a high school diploma while pursuing postsecondary education and vocational training. Our curriculum meets Florida Department of Education requirements, and our low teacher-to-student ratio helps us address our students’ needs. Our main goal is to ensure each student receives a personalized education. Dade Prep Academy Inc. teaches students self-respect and optimism. Our program affiliations include four-year institutions, community colleges, vocational training, and the US Military.
DPA currently serves around 400 students who meet two or more of the following criteria: not meeting state or district proficiency levels in Reading and/or Mathematics, retention for one or more school years, lack of course performance or completion, lack of student progression, excessive absenteeism, at risk of dropping out and/or not graduating, and/or family income is less than 200% of the federal poverty guidelines.
DPA utilizes Apex Learning, an evidence-based solution that matches with high-priority goals, to provide flexible, high-quality academic and social-emotional learning courses that enable kids to achieve grade-level competency and accelerate their learning. Courses assist students recover unfinished learning through original credit recovery, and tutorials help students bridge important required skill gaps and prepare for assessments with high stakes. Although we primarily teach our students in English, Apex can translate its curriculum into more than 50 languages to accommodate English language learners.
